  1. Started this morning and finished at lunch with a small sense of having spent the time well, and a look at xanerotrust extended that satisfaction into the afternoon, content that fits naturally into the rhythm of a working day rather than demanding a dedicated reading block is increasingly the kind I prefer.

  2. Right — been on this thing for about six months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me a few days back. Am based in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, nothing mad, for context.

What got me on it was genuinely embarrassing — I couldn’t ever figure out what an ew payout actually was when the place terms changed. Basically I’d wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator tool is the one I use most — type in stake and odds and you get the return with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the multiples — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, honestly that’s where I’d always got it wrong. If you want a look, it’s here super heinz buchmacher and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

The thing that genuinely changed how I bet was the geekier bits. The odds-to-probability thing which shows you the overround, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is handy too for when I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. Its layout looks very functional, let’s say — not much flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s usable although the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. There’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Free, no ads shoved in your face, works. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it’s saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.

  3. So — been on this thing for about four months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m in the UK, generally bet football and racing, small stakes, so take it how you like.

The reason I started using it was actually embarrassing — I couldn’t ever work out what an each way payout actually was when the place terms changed. I’d just eyeball it and get a shock. Now I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator is the part I’m on daily — you drop in your stake, the odds and you get returns with no faffing, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — trebles maths, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, which is where I’d always mess it up. If you want a look, it’s here free lucky 15 bet calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

What actually made a difference was the nerdier extras. The probability thing that shows what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one is decent if I’m spreading across selections.

Not all sunshine though. The design looks a bit basic — not much frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s usable although the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. There’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me but worth saying.

Right, that’s me. Free, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If anyone still adds it up in their head, give it a go — saved me a load of ”wait, that’s it?” moments.

  4. Started reading expecting to disagree and ended mostly nodding along, and a look at almostfashionablemovie continued the pattern, content that wins agreement through evidence and reasoning rather than rhetorical force is the kind that actually shifts minds and this site clearly knows how to do that across what I have read so far.

  5. Found this useful, the points line up well with what I have been thinking about lately, and a stop at HanaCapeCoral added some angles I had not considered yet, definitely walking away with more than I came for which is the best outcome from time spent reading online for any kind of topic.
