  1. Thank you for the genuine effort here, it shows in every paragraph and not just the headline, and after my visit to shopthomasashbourne I was sure this site cares about getting things right rather than chasing clicks, which is the main reason I will come back later this week to read more.

  2. OK — been on this thing for something like four months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. Am based in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

The reason I started using it was actually a bit daft — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an each way return actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically I’d wing it and get a shock. These days I stick my stake in before I place anything, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator tool is the one I use most — you drop in the price and your stake and it spits out profit and total return with no faffing, either odds format. Same tool covers the multiples — trebles maths, a lucky 15, yankees, and that’s where most people I know lose track. Have a go yourself, it’s here implied probability and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that actually changed how I bet is the nerdier tools. There’s an probability converter which shows you the overround, plus a kelly tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutching one is decent if I’m splitting a race.

Couple of gripes. Its layout feels very functional, let’s say — no polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it’s usable though the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. There’s no proper app, just the site — fine by me but you asked.

So yeah. Free, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone still does the maths on paper, have a look — saves me a load of ”wait, that’s it?” moments.

  3. So — been using this thing for about six months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d say something since someone asked me the other day. Am based in the UK, mostly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

How I found it was actually pretty stupid — I could never figure out what an e/w payout actually was once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now punch the numbers in first, every time, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator tool is the one I open most — you drop in your stake, the odds and it shows the return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. It also handles the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, honestly that’s where I always lose track. Have a go yourself, it’s here betting dutching calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

One thing that genuinely shifted things for me was the nerdier bits. There’s an implied probability converter and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutch tool is handy too when I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. The interface looks a bit basic — not much polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s fine though the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. And no proper app, it’s browser only — fine by me but worth saying.

Right, that’s me. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. If you honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

  4. More substantial than most of what I find searching for this topic online, and a stop at longtermbusinesspartnerships kept that quality consistent, this is one of those sites where the writing actually rewards careful reading rather than punishing the patient reader with empty filler stretched out across long paragraphs that say very little.

  5. So — have been messing about with this thing for maybe five months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d write something up since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m based in the UK, mostly do football and horses, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.

How I found it was genuinely a bit daft — I could never work out what an each way return actually was when the place terms changed. Basically I’d guess and moan when the payout landed. Now I type the odds in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator tool is the bit I open most — you drop in stake and odds and you get profit and total return straight away, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the multiples — acca and treble maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, and that’s where I’d always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at ew odds calculator — free, no signup.

What genuinely changed how I bet were the nerdier bits. The probability calculator and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one is decent if I’m spreading across selections.

Couple of gripes. Its layout is a bit basic — not much frills, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it’s fine although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. There’s no proper app, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, works. If you still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.

  6. Came back to this an hour later to reread a specific section, and a quick visit to OldSchoolOpen also drew a second look, content that pulls you back rather than letting you move on permanently is the kind I want to fill my browser bookmarks with in 2026 and beyond as the open internet evolves.
