  1. Right — been using this thing for maybe four months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me last week. I’m UK based, generally bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, for context.

How I found it was honestly embarrassing — I could never figure out what an each way payout actually was when the place terms changed. Basically I’d guess and moan when the payout landed. Now I punch the numbers in first, every time, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — type in stake and odds and it shows the return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the multiples — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, a yankee, which is where I always got it wrong. If you want a look, it’s over at super heinz bets and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

One thing that really made a difference was the nerdier tools. There’s an probability converter and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I use half kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutch tool is decent if I’m splitting a race.

Couple of gripes. Its interface looks very functional, let’s say — zero polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s usable but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. There’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me but you asked.

So yeah. Free, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If anyone honestly adds it up in their head, try it — saves me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

  2. So — been on this thing for maybe five months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d say something since a mate asked me the other day. I’m in the UK, mostly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.

What got me on it was genuinely a bit daft — I could never get my head round what an e/w payout would be when the place terms changed. I used to just guess and then be surprised. Now type the odds in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator tool is the one I’m on daily — you drop in stake and odds and it spits out the return straight away, either odds format. There’s also the bigger stuff — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, which is where most people I know mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at gambling odds converter — free, no signup.

One thing that genuinely changed how I bet were the geekier bits. There’s an odds-to-probability converter and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit when I’m covering two or three runners.

Not all sunshine though. Its layout looks pretty plain — no flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it works but the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. And no app, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

So yeah. Costs nowt, barely any ads, works. If you even now adds it up in their head, give it a go — it’s saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.

  3. However casually I came to this site I have ended up reading carefully, and a look at ThirtyMale continued earning that careful reading, the conversion from casual visitor to careful reader is something content earns rather than demands and this site has accomplished that conversion for me over the course of just a few pieces.

  4. Such writing is increasingly rare and worth supporting through attention, and a stop at zavirotrustco extended that supportive attention across more pages, the conscious choice to spend time on sites that produce careful work rather than convenient consumption is itself a small form of patronage and this site is receiving that conscious patronage from me.

  5. Right — been using this thing for something like six months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d say something since a mate asked me last week. Am UK based, generally do football and horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.

The reason I started using it was actually embarrassing — I could never get my head round what an each way return would be when the place terms changed. Basically I’d guess and moan when the payout landed. These days I type the odds in first, every time, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I open most — you put in the price and your stake and it spits out profit and total return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, yankees, honestly that’s where I always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at single bet calculator free and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that actually shifted things for me was the nerdier tools. The implied probability converter and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly staking calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is decent when I’m spreading across selections.

Not all sunshine though. Its layout is very functional, let’s say — not much frills, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it’s usable though the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s nothing on the app store, just the site — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Free, barely any ads, does the job. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saves me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
